Category: Training Class Starts 8 AM: Combo NRA Pistol and Personal Protection in the Home Course

Starts 8 AM -

Day 1 NRA Basic Pistol teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. Includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol.

Day 2 NRA Personal Protection in the Home teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. Students should expect to shoot approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, . Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, course completion certificate and basic practical rocker. Certificate of Live Fire course completion certified by an NRA Instructor. Information and instructions on how to apply for CCW licenses.

For those new to shooting sports; Guns, Cleaning kits, Eye and Ear protection will be available to use in class for the practical exercises.

Day 1: regularly $125 Ammunition for the live fire practical exercise will be provided. (only .22LR ammunition will be provided) Students using their own handgun, will need to provide 100 rounds of ammunition for the live fire practical exercises.

Day 2: regularly $175 Students may provide their own firearm. Students will get the most out of class if there Handguns are of a defensive caliber. If the student chooses to use one of the instructors handguns, ammunition is not included in the course cost. Students will provide 150 rounds of ammunition for the live fire practical exercises. (Ammunition maybe available for purchase, please contact us)

The discounted Combo cost for both classes is $240. We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. A $20 deposit per day is required ($40).
