NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. This course is 1 Days and 8 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.

For those new to shooting sports; Guns, Cleaning kits, Eye and Ear protection will be available to use in class for the practical exercises. Ammunition for the live fire practical exercise will be provided. (only .22LR ammunition will be provided)

If students are using their own rifle other than a .22LR, students will need to provide 100 rounds of ammunition for the live fire practical exercises.
